Universities

The Center for Urban Teaching proudly partners with a number of universities across the nation to identify, prepare, and support top-teaching talent.

Undergraduate students from these universities utilize the many social and professional opportunities that we offer to explore the field of urban teaching.

Our presence varies with each campus, but often includes monthly student-led activities like study nights, film nights, and urban educator talks with CfUT alumni, as well as other professional development opportunities including group immersion tours of urban schools in Milwaukee, Chicago, Houston, Baton Rouge, and New York City, and the opportunity to teach in CfUT’s summer school program for credit or as a paid internship.

Formal University Partnerships

We work with each campus to craft a partnership that is unique to the needs of their programs. If you work in higher education and would like to learn more about how your university or college can partner with the Center for Urban Teaching, please contact us or call 414-433-9180.
